Well I bought a 15g aquarium 4 months ago now. Not knowing to much about fish I first bought 4 zebra danios. These became very agressive towards each other so I was advised by the LFS to add some larger fish to distract them. So I got 2 black tetras and one scissortail and one lemon tetra on advice from the LFS. Since then two Apistagrammas have been added. The tank is overstocked i believe but having spent the last 4months reading, researching I am now at the stage where i want to change things. Tomorrow i am hoping to buy a 25g to house them in. But I am aware that scissortails need a larger tank and to be with their own kind, same with lemon tetras. Shall i add some more LT and ST or would it be best to find a new home for the ST? I had wanted to find the danois a new home as these fish annoy me for reasons i dont know and add some more exciting fish. Any advice would be much appriciated!!

I would rehome any fish you don't like (the danios) and anything you can't house properly. If all you have right now is apistos, the scissors, the lemons, the widows/skirts and the danios, you may be able to keep all (but the danios) in the 25 as long as you add at least 4 more of each tetra/rasbora. Having said that, what kind of scissor do you have? If it's the giant species, it'll have to be rehomed. Also, by adding 4 of each, you will be slightly over-stocked but not to an extent where it isn't manageable as long as you keep up with maintainance.
