fishless cycle

My 10 gallon has been cycling for almost 3 weeks now, and the nitrite finally went up to about 4ppm yesterday.

When should the cycle end??

Edit: I havent added anything from an established tank.

just jokeing but i feel your fustration since my tank first spiked on the 2nd week of cycleing and it's been 5 weeks later and i'm still waiting for that danm nitrite to come down!!!, but my ph is going back up and the ammonia is comeing down so thats a sign but i think that we should keep in mind that pationts is a virtue and our tanks will take their own sweet time!!! *glares ar tank*

Hi!
I'm at the same stage of my fishless cycle. I got my nitrite spike after 12 days. My ammonia dropped after 17 days to 0 ppm. (Yippie!) I'm on my 26th day and nitritites are still pretty much "up there", same goes for nitrates.
Oh well! Let's exert our patience together!

Isn't the Nitrite spike the longest part of the process?
