Hi, Just wondering what other fish I could put in with my 2 angelfish and 14 neon tetras, the tank is 120 liters

Another 14 neons once the angels have finshed eating the ones you have :X Neons are the natural food of angels in the wild and shouldnt be in the same tank unless they are there as feeders.
A small shoal corydoras would go well or maybe one of the smaller Lnumber plecos or if you prefer something a little bigger how about a pair of hoplosternum catfish (thoracatum, littorale or pectorale) if you are looking for another cichlid many of the apistogramma species of dwarf cichlid would be fine or a pair of festivums (mesonauta festivus).

The list goes on and on,it would be better to look at what fish you would like and then to see if they are suitable.

BTW no catfish with long whiskers (pimeloids),angels get really stressed from being stroked in the night by long feelers

that is great wording cfc, I'm glad you posted though as I want angels and was thinking of pictus as well, but if it will be stressful to the angels I'll not get the pictus :-( why can they all just get along!!! LOL

oh yeah Weasle CFC is right your angels will eat the tetras when big enough, and a shoal of cory's would be great. they are very fun to watch.

lol

there is some good lines in this thread...

....but if the angle are small then the neons should be OK for a while ;)

:)

Hi

If only I had got here earlier I would have used the same line

Some of the larger tetras will be fine.

Great minds think alike eh Dolphin

This is kind of off topic but...... Is it true that Tetras have attitude?? I keep reeding about all these larger tetra's that like beat other fish to death and eat'em and stuff. Is this true??

only if the fish are ill silver and only if they are smaller normally and ive only heard of it a few times im nto shure they do it all day for fun. zebras on the other hand j/k

Tetra's can be very aggressive if kept alone or with only 1 or 2 of their kind. they are cousins of the piranah after all. look at a black skirt tetra, it looks just like a baby black piranah. when kept in large groups they should be fine though.

Ahhhh...just like my Silver Dollars!! I get it now!! DUH!! :*)

Sometimes I forget that my Silvers are in the Tetra family and that would mean all other tetras would be related to the piranha as well. Silly me, boy do I feel like a retard!!

My male Congo tetra (Popeye)can be mean sometimes, but only to his girls (Lucy and Olive Oil) for some reason. All my other tetras are very nice, they all got along with my old angelfish really well.
