Fish With Fat Lips

hi there is two fishes in my tank which i think is a type of killifish, i've searched all over the internet, they seem to fit in with the body shape, except they yellow with a bit of shimmery also there is a dot on top of its head. i tried to take some photo, but they came out all wrong, but i will keep trying.

anyhow, one is alot bigger than the other and he was sectioned for bulliing. i put him in a breeder net. but did not realised they can jump. but as i had the cover on, he kept on bumping on to the cover underside, after a few hours, i noticed he lips seem to be bigger then before, i didn't want him to get injured so i decided to set him free. once i opened the cover, he just jumped out of the net and landed back in the tank. is has been two days now and his lips is still not getting any better and now i don't know what to do. he dosn't seem to be too stress and he seem to have stop the harassment.

is there anything i can do?

I'd just keep an eye on him, and keep up with your water changes, it sounds like swelling which should eventually go down.

What sized tank do you have, and what do you have it stocked with?

Its not suprising that it tried to keep jumping out. Breeding nets are quite small and Im sure it didnt like having only a little room to swim around.

I agree that it is prob swelling. It should eventually go away

thats it is the golden one. the net was sold to me, when i brought the tank, the guy said i might need it if any fish get ill or when i need to sectiona bully. is aout 20cmX15cm

What sized tank do you have, and what do you have it stocked with?

the top lip has healed and the bottom lip is still abit swollen, so let see after a few more days.

my tank is a rio125 and i have
2 of these golden killi fish - the big one is about 3cm and the smaller one is about 1.5cm
2 ram
2 krib
1 cat fish - can't remenber which one but the shop told me they won't grow much bigger than 5 inches

i ddid have 4 sword tails, but they've all died
