It's been awhile since I've been on...But don't worry!! It's not because I don't like you guys but because of my lack of computer. Since I havn't been on in so long, I thought I would take to time to jump on and update ya'll on me and my fish.
I'll start of with my 40 gallon. During my 90 move only one of my fish died. It was one of my croaking gouramis. I was slightly deppressed about it because CG are hard to come by and they are some of my favorite fish. Oh well though. Despite that I guess you could say that I fared pretty well if only one of my fish died!! Since my move I have also bought a gold gourami and a pearl gourami and they are both two of the most beatiful fish you will ever see. I also bought two giant danios and I THINK I might have a boy and a girl because there body styles are different. I'm not sure how easy it is to breed them though. My pleco is getting HUGE!! HE used to curl up in a little seashell and hide but he outgrew that months ago. He graduated to a ceramic jug tank decoration but I think he's outgrown that too because he's been spending a lot of time sticking to the walls of the tank. I'm thinking about getting him a piece of PVC pipe to hide in. All of my cories are doing great and my two little albinos are starting to get bigger, (FINALLY!!) and pretty soon they might even give the others a run for there money.
Things in my 10 gallon have been a little hectic lately. My Paradise Fish was ALWAYS picking (literally!!) on my poor dalamtion molly. He nipped at her until her whole upper (Dorsal??) fin was completely gone. I knew I had two options. I don't have a hospital tank so I could either leave her in the 10 gallon and let her suffer and KNOW that she would die or move her to my 40 gallon and hope for the best. I'm certainly not stupid so I moved her into the 40 gallon. She seemed to perk up a little but by the next moring she had died. I was sort of deppressed but I did the best of everything I could do. I also bought to baby plecos for the tank hoping they could help out with a seriously severe algae problem. They both seem to be doing fine so far. One was kinda battered when I got him. His fins were nipped up and two even had a hole on them. The tears have healed but I think the holes are there for good.
As for my bettas...
We've got twelve of them now.
Only three of them are from before my move. We have Loyalty who is dark cream with lighter cream fins. He is housed in a medium sized Kritter Keeper. Then there is Jericho who is pink with red fins, Daeton who it red all over with white tipped fins, Otis who is navy blue with his fins fading into fuchia, Blackhawk who is a deep blue and if I'm not mistaken is also a CROWN TAIL!! Next we have Chaos who is a deep aqua, Sawyer who is purple with white tipped fins, Staten, who I just bought yesterday and is green with red and blue fins, Milo who is pink and purple, Ruthie my female betta, Egan who is purple and Marley who is red. I tried to put Ruthie in my 40 gallon tank but it stressed her out really bad and my other fish were sort of harassing her, sort of the new fish in the tank syndrome.
Well, that just about covers everybody but me.
To keep things short, my and my ex
are trying to work things out and are contemplating getting back together. I am in the process of looking for a job and getting my HS Diploma. Afterwards I wanna get my CNA certificate.
Sorry this was so long guys!! Er..Happy reading!!
