Found a good DIY and have caught 2 so far, of course you also catch others but it is simple to separate them once caught. 4 more to go- smile.

Would the metal not get into the water somehow?

That is a good idea though. Much easier to catch a fish in a smaller space than a huge tank.

It is plasticized.
