Hi guys,

I just got my first fish in a quaranteen tank, and decided to buy a trap to move it later
to the main tank but I got lots of bad reviews regarding fish traps.

Can u please tell me what is the best way to catch the fish? I found one but not sure if its right,
maybe I still have to get a trap. By the way if you know a good brand for it let me know.

Here is solution I found so far.

get 2 bottom halfs from plastic bottles put them at the bottom of aquarium in corner shape,
put some food in there, theoretically it will be easy for fish to get in and very hard to get out.
Not sure but it sounds like it might work.

Why dont you just use 2 large nets? Ive never had a problem with catching any of my fish using them! Only use a trap when it is necessary!

I can use nets to get fish from my quaranteen tank but in case I have to catch it in my main tank it will be difficult I have plenty of fiji rocks and net stuck in them right away.

I use a home-made trap that works a treat

It's a glass box with a sliding glass lid

It has a piece of pipe going into the top where I drop food

Never failed to catch a fish with it yet :)
