Fish throwing up

hello,

i don't know what is going on, in my 10 and 3 gallon tanks, my fish are throwing up the food that i give them. i am feeding them top-fin tropical fish flakes.

any advice that you can give helps.

What are your ammonia & nitrite levels? I had a similar experience with my roommate's puffer, turns out the ammonia was way too high.

Also, how often and how much do you feed them?

*if he doesn't take better care of his fishies, I'm gonna confiscate them* (my roommate that is)
