Fish Tank Vibration

Hiya all, does any one have any good ideas tostop my fiss tank from making a humming noise, its doing my head in lol. thank you

you got to find out whats making it it could be a filter a skimmer a powerhead a light bulb or starter an air pump you or all of theem

New powerheads can do this until they bed in a bit. Mine did. If you hold each powerhead you will see if the vibration stops.

Yeh, my seio pump was a royal pain in backside to start with It has now got quieter after a few weeks.

I had a problem with a Sunsun pump's magnet attachment making viberation noise. I cut an airline pipe and fitted it between the pump holder and the glass and it became silent. However any powerhead touching the glass will make some noise but dont expect a saltwater tank to be completely silent
