What would be the best material to use as a tank edging strip
approx 3" wide at top to hide brace bars and 1" ish at bottom to neaten everything up - pieces need to be 54" long for front
Was thinking along the lines of formica but was wondering if theres a cheaper alternative and any ideas on where to buy from would be appreciated :good:

I just used aluminum section,

The stuff i used was 2nd hand from a friend and was a bit dirty and scratched.
As long as none of the scratches are too deep it cleans up beautifully using just soap, water and and a rough metal scouring pad.

If you only clean it lengthwise you end up with a very nice brushed finish.

You can get it new from most of the diy shops but it is very pricey for how much you get.

You could try some plastic trim used for edges in Kitchens. You can buy it in B&Q, homebase and other DIY stores there are all sorts of colours, shapes and lengths, its quite in expensive to.

Regards onebto.

Do you know if it comes in differant widths ?? as I need at least 90mm for the top edge
