Hey! I'm trying to get some new fish for my tank, and my lfs said there are many options, so I don't know what is best.
I currently have 2 mollies, a tetra (had 2 but one died), and a pleco in my tank, and I don't know what to add to make a nice community, if even possible.

Hope someone has ideas!

i use flakes to feed twice a day, and sometimes some cucumber or peas  , and once a week some 'tetra delica' which is brine shrimp or blood worms in a pink jelly type stuff

as for what other fish you should get, you didnt say how big your tank is so it is hard to say :look: . some plecos grow very big (apparently up to a foot in length -_- , but i've never kept them  ). you should add more tetras  - they're schooling fish and prefer to be kept in large groups (at least 5).

if your tank is big enough, and you have enough space left, i would advise a trio of cories  they're so sweet

I'd get a school of tetras. Go with the blue black one you have and add 5 more of the same type. Or consider returning that one, and get a different school, I love cardinal tetras, they are beautiful as they school around the tank. Then I'd buddy up the mollies you have and get M/F pairs. They are live bearers and will have babies in the tank if kept in pairs. You can try to raise the fry or let nature take its course and just let the other fish eat the fry. Then I'd get one larger spotlight fish like a gourami.
I'd add these fish very slowly, about 2 per week so you don't overload biological filtration.
How long has your tank been running? Tetras need a well established tank with stable water parameters.

The tank's been running since mid-october. I think I will do the school of tetras for sure. I'm not sure about the M/F mollies yet though... I'll consider it.
