Fish Size Disaster

My very sweet husband purchased me some beautiful tinfoil barbs. I had seen them in the petstore before and told him that I liked them. I wanted to do a little more fish breed research, but he suprised me with them. I then looked up the breed and found that they grow to about one foot in length. The problem is that I have a 30 gallon tank! I have no idea what to do with them now. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreceate it. I'm willing to give them away to a good home or give them to a good petshop.

Why don't you take them back to the store your husband bought them from and swap them for something else that's more suited to your tank? Then you can still have some new fish from your husband.

Or alternatively....convince your hubby to get a massive new tank for them! If feasible of course...

Just feel lucky he didn't pick up something that gets even bigger, such as an iridescent shark or any other catfish.
