i was talking to the guy behind the counter in the shop where i got some gobies earlier today, he was telling me that an employee in a shop in Barry is gonna be for the high jump on monday - someone had been telling him earlier today that he had found a tank of 6 mbu puffers mislabeled as another type of fw puffer, and consequently were priced at £6.95 each!!!! The guy bought all 6 of them, and managed to get a credit for £120 for them from another shop in the area!!
Reckon whoever mislabeled them is for the high jump?? Also I wonder who has bought what they think will be a 3" puffer, that will turn into a huge monster!!

sweet wish someone did that aorund here, i could buy them checp then sell them at work

although i don't think you understood it with your last comment...

the guy that bought them all knew what they were and decided to make a tidy profit on them by selling them to another shop with the right label which is why he got a good price other wise they were worth pennies as another type of puffer.

lol no i think i didnt explain it very well - the guy who bought the mbus and sold them on didnt work in the shop, he'd just stoped by earlier in the day. He knew exactly what they were, and hence took them straight to another shop in the area to sell/trade them on! I meant with the last comment I wonder how many they had before he bought all 6 that were left - had they originally had more that other people had bought before he got there, and were in for a biiiig surprise...
but yeah, i'm never lucky enough to have things like that happen to me...

ah ha yeh if they were ones before then those people are dun for but then again they will bring them back to the shop then sell the new bigger mbu's for alot more!!

at work we sold our 8inch mbu yesterday, £100 for him and that was wityh the customer being a regular so took it down from £125.

Saw a HUGE Mbu in Maidenhead Aquatics in Northampton months ago. He'd already been sold.

He was like a foot long or more...his teeth were just plain scary...

I saw an MBU getting on for 2ft at Maidenhead Aquatics Crew's Hill near Enfield last weekend lovely thing going for about £275.
