he was a beauty. I had a red/blue/green colores betta named sparky once that jumped into the trash can, but I got him out in time and treated him and everything. So sorry to hear about your loss.

I've actually lost two bettas to jumping out of the tiny holes in the lids of Aquaviews, one from jumping through the tiny gap between the filter and the lid of her tank, and one of my juvies has managed to leap out of the hole I drilled in their containers for air that an adult betta would never be able to squeeze through... it's really amazing the kind of gaps these guys can get through sometimes
