Am I being a complete prat or do you all name your fish?
Many moons ago (and I'm talking 20 years....wow im old) I used to have a puffer tank with 5 in it. I names them all after the old school rat pack (frankie, Sammy, Dean etc) and the tank was called oceans 11.

Just got 3 Cory's and trying to think of names. (Suggestions welcome) just for a bit of fun...not all fish talk has to be technical water levels or cycling ?

What's your fish called??

I have names for the guys you can tell apart from the others...blood parrot=cheetoo, firemouth=Pablo, Bristlenose Pleco=big al, red tail black shark=sharkie, named my Buenos Aires school the cartel, haven’t named my school of x-ray tetras yet gotta think of something good for them hahah.

Well I have 2 young girls and they want to name the 5 black widow tetra the spice girls....so....as much as it pains me I have had to agree.

I have a few Rosie barbs, 1 is called swims (after Teddy swims my fav musician from america)

I think I'm going to name my Cory's frankie, Sammy a Dean (even though I had puffers called that but it was 20 years ago)

My L204 pleco (when I get him, he is on order) is going to be Elvis...

So guessing the theme of my tank is musicians

I'm not a superstitious person, but when I name fish they seem to die sooner, so I usually don't. My daughter, on the other hand, always gives them names, and they don't die on her, so I let her name them. She has come up with some gems through the years: My school of pearl gouramis, Sparkle, Glory, Pearl, Helios, and Blaze. My bristle nose plecostomus, Brissleplacky. Garnet the betta, and the most recent betta, Icefire. Snailio the mystery snail, and two bamboo shrimp, Louie and Huey Bambooie.
