Now that I have my tank up and running, all levels being great, would it be normal to lose a few fish when 1st introduced to the tank? Stress from the move/introduction into their new home?

Obvisouly I ask since I lost #2 Danios in 48 hrs. the rest look fine.

It does happen from time to time. When i first got some fish i lost a few.The problem is, you dont know what the fish have been through before you get them, and its difficult to see if they are perfectly happy whilst in the lfs as you cant see their behaviour fully. On top of all that, the stress of being fished out, put in a bag, then plopped into a brand new set up can be very stressfull. I lost a zebra danio when i first put them in. I have also lost a Platy even after the tank hac cycled a day after putting her in. If your water stats are good, its probabaly just one of those things. Its part of the hobby unfortunatley. Just keep an eye on your stats and keep up your regular maintenance and you will be doing all you can. GRJ

I have not lost any fish recently (lucky perhaps?), but I lost alot more when first starting. It's not "normal" but it's certainly not uncommon either.

if you have hardy fish and good clean water you probably won't have a problem. however, some fish are extremely delicate and may be lost.
