:) Last week I bought a pair of Balloon Mollies. The female was pregnant and she devilvered fry the same day that I got her. I placed the pair in a small quarentine tank with an air pump and heater. A few days later, I moved both of the molleis into my 29 gallon tank, but the female wasn't as active as she was in the smaller container. I also noticed she had a mild case of tail rot so I transported her back into the smaller place for treat. Strangely, she was much more active in there than in the larger tank.

 A week later, her tail rot had healed up fully and she was ready to go back into the main tank. I flaoted the bag for 5 hours and every hour added a cup of the new tank water. Well, I usually just leave them for fifteen minutes, but this time I wanted to be sure that she adjusted slowly to the water and didn't go into any shock. The instant I placed her in the larger tank, she was paralyzed! Her fins were frozen and she made no effot to swim as she sank to the bottom. :-( I immediatly knew something was wrong, but when I moved her back into the bag she was swimming around and was acting perfectly normal. This is really confusing me now! Is it possible that she only feels comfortable in small tank and not larger ones? :/

(I don't have another tank to put her in!) :X

It's possible something is wrong with your main tank's water, and that balloon molly is the only one showing signs of distress. I read once someone was accidentally adding chlorinated water into their tank without knowing it, and only one fish acted strangely, then died.

I'm not sure what to tell you other than to carefully examine your water parameters. Hope it works out for ya!

Strange Sasha, I'd be worried that she is telling you something is off in your big tank. Check that out first, then think about her having to keep residence in your smaller tank.
