Fish Leeches

Ok so I discovered fish leeches in my old bath tub that doubles as a pond, I can easily drain the water and dry out the sand and gravel but how do erradicate the leeches from the plants? I want to put the fish that where in the pond back into a tank (around 100 young bristle noses) but I don't want them bringing leeches up to the rest of my tanks.

Would a dose of snail killer kill the leeches or would the rotters just dance in it?

I'd dry out the pond and replace the plants, tbh. Leeches lay their eggs in a very tough cocoon which is very difficult to kill with any chemicals, as it's pretty much impervious to everything.

I got snails with leeches on a while ago (thankfully I realised and took them back to the shop) - however they said salt baths would get rid of the leeches. Would your plants be ok in salt?

The lilly would probably survive a bit of salt but Idoubt the other plants would they are more delicate. I have a suspicion that the leeches may have come into the tub as hitch hikers from local cane toads. I did find a product that claims to kill of internal and external parasites including leeches but the only shop in town who does carry it is out of stock and I have not been able to read up on all the active ingredients or the dosing rates.
