Are any of these fish known to jump...

Banana Wrasse (Helichoeres chrysus)
Red Sea Cleaner Wrasse (Larabicus quadrilineatus)
Regal Tang (Paracanthurus hepatus)
Atlantic Blue Tang (Acanthurus coeruleus)
Fridmani Dottyback (Pseudochromis fridmani)
Blue Star Leopard Wrasse (Macropharyngodon bipartitus)
Bartlett's Anthias (Pseudanthias bartlettorum)
Coral Beauty (Centropyge bispinosus)
Lamarck's angel (Genicanthus lamarck)

Cheers

Matt

All the wrasses and the anthias are known jumpers. Just an FYI, this is for a FOWLR or FO tank yes? Many of those fish are also known coral nippers ;)

No it's a reef tank, yeh I know some of the wrasses are nippers but they are still quite young so they are ok for now. Is it just the wrasses that nip or are there others??

Thanks ski

the bannana wrasse WILL nip eventually, the coral beauty MIGHT nip eventually, and the lamarck's will Probably nip

I lost a banana wrasse as it jumped out of the tank while I was transferring stock to my new tank.
I just thought it was buried in the sand hiding.
I also had a male Bluethroat Trigger jump clean out of the tank. Luckily I was there to scoop him back into the tank.
A friendly cleaner wrasse dusted him down and there were no ill effects!

Err... close. You read that article, right man?

Genicanthus (Lamarck's Angel)= as reef safe as Anthias (feeds in same way on same things; may sample the mucous of corals on occasion)
Coral Beauty= about 50-50
Banana Wrasse= no Halichoeres feeds on coral, though very large ones may knock over frags and reduce the crustacean population.

However the Red Sea Cleaner may eventually become an obligate SPS eater. Is probably worth considering, though I see these fish are becoming fairly popular...

IMVHO, the Lamarcks will not nip... its one of the angels that come from the genus genicanthus. Planktivores. Will not bother corals. But be advised... they are jumpers... i talk from experience.
i had my lamarcks angel for over half a year..... recently in the start of summer... i took my glass tops off because my tank was getting over 80 degrees from the summer heat... well in that week i came home from work to find my lamarcks pretty much dried out on my carpet in my room. Sucked was one of my favorite angels...
