Okay, I've decided to give my plants to my mom because plants seem to grow better in her's anyway. Now that I have no plants are there any fish that would work well with 2 Firemouths in a 55 gallon? I've been told a severum would work. Any ideas?

Any ideas anyone? 
I have 2 firemouths and would 1 or 2 severums work? Or should I do 2 convicts? Any suggestions on bottom fish? I know clown loaches get big but just out of curiousity would they work with either of them? Any other ideas on bottom dwellers?
