hiya everyone, i posted a message a couple of weeks ago on the newbie topics as i have only had my tank about two month, i mentioned that my husband was to impatient to wait for things to settle in the tank as at first i only had four platys then to my annoyance he came back with two shark catfish, 7 black widow tetras and five bala sharks, the shark catfish ended up getting white spot so i bought some medication following the info about how much to put it but my hubby couldnt even do that he thought it didnt matter, i felt like sticking his head in the tank anyway i had come back from swimming only to find he had added more to the tank when i allready put some in that morning it was a bit ovbious he had as the the water was green, anyway slowly the other bala sharks died within days of each other i lost my last one today, but one thing for sure is i am not letting him go anywhere near that tank, i wouldnt mind it supposed to have been a early xmas pressie fo me but he just took over and spoilt things. At least i still have the tetras and platys and hope to get some more fish soon.

hello dolphin2305,

i'm sorry to hear about the bala sharks. :( hopefully your husband won't make the same mistake twice.

how big is the tank?

So sorry to hear that, Dolphin2305.
New tank syndrome is a common mistake. Fortunately it's one that you can learn from, so best of luck with any fish you may get in the future.

That's really poor!

And to think my wife calls me arrogant and insensitive (I think I missed Valentines day about 5 years ago & have yet to hear the end of it ....... BIG mistake).

Anyway, sorry of the losses, chin up & et him know it's YOUR bloody tank.....

Andy
