Last week, I ordered fish from overseas, for the first time. I was told, that the transhipper would e-mail me, when they arrived in the U.S.A. It has been 5 days, and no word. How long does it usually take?

Get back to your seller to confirm that the fish have been shipped, then find out who your transhipper is and ask them on what the situation is with regards to the fish (are they still in quarantine, is there a problem, have they reached the USA yet etc. etc.).

All fish from Thailand sold on Aquabid are shipped together in mass shipments generally twice a month so about two weeks is average after a purchase. You'll receive an email from the transhipper confirming your address and possibly giving you options are to which carrier you prefer. After you send the money to them they will ship your fish. Overseas can be a long process, but most of the time the fish are worth waiting for.

I emailed the seller, and transhipper. Both say there was a delay, and they won't arrive in the U.S. now until mon. (18th). I still hope I can get them by Christmas. I am just dissapointed because the seller told me on the 8th, that they would be shipped the next day. I really like the fish I picked, but may have gone with another seller, if I had known about the late shipping date. These are my Christmas present, and I waned to order fish to get here before. Who plans on getting a present after the day? I also want to show them off to family on Christmas. As long as there are no more delays, I am still planning on getting them in time.

You still have some time before Christmas! They might be there by then
