My cats do that all the time, They even managed to get my favorite shark out of the tank once. It had stayed out of the water to long and I wasnt able to save him. So my cats get the fly swat if I catch them near the tanks anymore...

My dog bumps his head against the glass triing to eat the fish....it makes both me and the fish mad. He leaves lotsa slim on the glass....just more work for me to do...

My cat Pandora does that too. It seems that cats are fascinated by the water even though a lot of them hate to get wet.
