Any viewings welcome, will try and sort some pics :)

Hi,

Could you upload a photo of the Synodontis, please? If it is a true S. decorus (all barbels branched, horizontally striped tail, long dorsal fin extension), I would love to rehome him/her to join my adult one (these are very social synos) in my 5x2x2, if you are happy to send it by courrier.

Never posted a fish before but I know the practice as I've received livestock through the post, so yeah I could do that, how much is postage usually?

I'll try and grab a pic when I get home, but the description you gave there is very familiar, and he/she is a very sociable fish. Just hard to photograph, I have a very well planted tank and he loves it, usually only pops out for food.

I think the courrier, APC, charges something around the £20 mark. I've never posted fish myself either, but "Vickiandkev" on the forum and others swear by APC, knowing how "Special Delivery" parcels are usually handled (I'm a postie) I really don't like the idea of sending or receiving fish via Royal Mail.

I think the biggest risk is from puncturing of the bags with the fisrt pectoral ray, so I would say that triple-bagging inside a polystyrene lined box would be best, possibly with a heat pad and the addition of a Bag Buddy tablet after fasting him/her for two days before dispatch.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing the photo(s) to positively ID it as a S. decora, as opposed to Valino Synopdontis hybrid (decora x multipactatus). My local store have had some of these hybrids incorrectly labelled for a couple of months now, was pretty gutted, after finding out that S. decora is the most social of the genus by some way. :)

I've got a couple of pics but can't upload from my phone, will get them on later.
I'm now unsure, he doesn't have a stripef tail but a spotted pne, I can still 100% guarantee that he is a social fish though, he's lived in the tank circa 18 months and hasn't bothered a thing, even when I added new fish

Had a very quick look through the Synodontis photos at planetcatfish this morning before work and I was struggling for ideas as to what it might be, hopefully things will become clearer with the photos. :)

Really sorry for the delay, all fish are still available and here is Mr Catfish...

Forgot to mention, I had 2 x Bush fish/Spotted gourami's, the larger of the two went this evening, still have the smaller on though, approx 2" :)
