For a planted tank, besides oto & shrimp, what other fishes you could recommned to help to clear some algae in the tank? (Prefer small size fish)

I like my harlequin rasboras, they are a nice shoaling fish and their colors compliment the greenery well. Other favorites of small size are neons or cardinal tetras.

i have platties in my planted tank. they nibble on the algae at times, but in terms of a main algae-eating source they are not effective. i think most fish will nibble algae. the only specific recommendations i can give are siamese algae-eaters and chinese algae-eaters. :)

How about some snails? I'm told nerites don't eat live plants and also don't breed successfully in freshwater.

I have some snails in my tank, not sure their name, but they breed very rapidly. I have an oto too and 3 red cherry shrimps + 2 unknown shrimps (slight blue in colour). They all help me to keep the tank clean. :)

I am still looking for some fishes which could help me to clear the algae on the aquarium glass and the hair algae too. The algae problem is not too serious in my tank but I hope to minimize it.

Anyone can suggest more fishes? With pic is better. Thank you guys...

get a bushy bristle nose plec, they only grow 8-10 cm...i have 1 and he cleans the glass and driftwood , rocks from algea and he is also fun to watch. But if u have a small tank ottos are also great

I recommend getting a few more ottos, maybe 2 or 3 more? They would work better in groups, also some amano shrimp (which you may possibly have), i'd get about 10 of them, as they don't add very much to your bioload at all!

Probably I will add 1 or 2 of otos to thrill the only oto in my tank. :)

Thanks for the help guys...
