Fish Fight Help! Puffer And Goby

So I have a 40g brackish tank and i have a dragon goby and 2 days ago I buy 2 puffers and one is very mean and nipped all the fins off the dragon goby and now his belly big and all fins are gone he looks bad but if he does live will his fins grow back is there any thing i can do...I got the mean puffer out of the tank I LOVE my dragon and have had him for a really long time the one and only ive ever seen for sale PLEASE HELP

I have a solution to your problem!

Ditch the the slightly salted brackish and go full salt marine!

GSPs don't mix well with violet/dragon gobies. They're best kept alone, in groups, or with robust marine fish (damselfish do particularly well).
