Hi can anyone help me,
My guppies eyes seem to be completely black (all pupil and no iris visible), she is pregnant and I have put her in the breeding tank as she looks set to drop any day.
Today though her eyes seem normal (pupils and iris visible) but I have noticed that two of my other guppies eyes have gone completely black.
Is this something todo with being pregnant? or am I just paranoid looking for problems that are not there?

mine do that also, i just dont worry about it. it has something to do with hormones or something i read about a long time ago.

Wow, I never knew that. They seem to change quite often. learn something every day...

wow i didn't know it was to do with homones, one of mine constantly has pure black eyes and has never been pregnant

yea its like a fish pms thing. lol they change colors like humans change moods it comes when a specific hormone jumps up. its like a facial expression. both males and females go through it.

example we blush and smaile and gasp and all that and fish's eyes change colors.
