hi
my plants seem to get eaten alot bu my fish! how i stop them eating them! i have been feeding them once a day! there is one particular fish that eats the plants but not the fish flakes whilst the other one like it eats the flakes!

I guess if plants are tastier to the fish than flakes then hes going to keep eating the plants. What plants are they and what fish is eating them?

I clicked on this topic about "FISH EATING PLANTS" expecting to hear that you were looking for plants that eat fish...

An aquatic venus flytrap perhaps.

Some fish are herbivors and eat plants as their natural diet, if this is the case then you can't stop them from eating the plants.

if your plant eating fish are silver dollars then you are just going to have to live with chewed plants :fun: the only plants they tend to leave alone are java fern, although they do tend to eat this still. you can subsidise their diet with lettuce, cucumber, peas, and other types of vegetables, however this won't guarantee that they don't eat the plants... i feel your pain  we have SDs too!! :D

kat :)

 That is exactly what I thought when I first read it. It was about as odd as the thread a while back titled "Black Ghost Knife Fish stabbed" with subtitle "Stabbed its self, no idea what to do". See here for details on that one. But don't reply as it is OLD.
