Fish Compatability

I was wondering if you could put a female betta in with a goldfish.

Don't jump the gun now.. lol! I'm not going to do this. Just assume that the water quality is ideal.. what do people think about their behavioral patterns? Would they clash?

Goldfish are coldwater and bettas are tropical so... no. The betta would require a heater and the goldfish wouldn't be too happy about that

I was going more for behavior, I realize that they require different temps.. that's sort of why I mentioned ideal conditions.. but ok

I guess it would depend on the temperament of the female betta. I have seen a friend's female betta attacking the fins of three much larger goldfish!

(don't ask why the betta was in the goldfish tank!)
