we have had our tropical fishtank up and running and i might add completely cycled forabout a month now, we started with 6 tetras which i am happy to say are still with us :D we left it a week before buying 4 guppies from the lps but b4 the week was out one looked like it was attacked :-( after looking on the internet at fish i found out it was a disease, we took the fish right back again after another fish seemed to catch it. we recently found fry in the tank and we think it is from the guppies is there any way that we can stop the same from happening to them. we find that the books do not give enough information on these subjects. thank you :* smoochie smoochie

It sounds like your newly introduced fish brought some kind of disease with it. You need to decide what that disease is and treat it. I had the same problems with general fish books. These 3 sites are really good, IMO, for helping you determine what is going on and how to treat it. If you cannot decide on a disease, reply and type in the physical symptoms of your fish as well as your water parameters. Someone will be able to help you. Good luck!
