from the patch on the side.....the picture isnt very clear but when i look at it close up it looks like its been picked at.
hopefully keeping it in the breeding unit will give it time to clear, but is there any way to treat it???

Is that white patch fluffy? Look fluffy in the pictures in which case I would advise using some pimafix or mxyazin.

It looks like a infection setting in there pimafix/protozin with some melifix will be the best option.

Hi I see what you mean, it might not have been attacked, I've had fish look like that when I first started and it turned out that they got stuck behind the heater or something and it got burn't.

I've heater guards on all mine now to avoid that.

Agree with Helterskelter if there is a fluffy patch then it has an infection and you will need to treat it, if you don't want to treat the whole tank then I'd advise removing it to another tank or container and treating it in that, but it must be heated.

hi all thank you for your help, sorry to say its not white and fluffy, it does look like it has been picked at or may have cought itself on something like a little chunk missing from its side.......
i will try and get a better picture. an i will try and treat it ASAP..

do you think i should keep it in the breeding unit for the time being?? its quite a big breeding unit and i have been putting food into it so that should be ok..
