In the kitchen sink...
I was wondering whether fish can have allergies because my GSP spat out some cockle and seemed to "sneeze" that is to say, he shot backwards. I didn't think that they can go backwards very quickly, and hge went back really quite fast.

I don't feed them cockle now, of course because I'm trying to be careful, but if anyone thinks that its just a case of picky puffer, then I'll go back to starving them and feeding them cockle, because I won't have a picky puffer in my tank, because they need a varied diet.

I would say he's a picky puffer, or he may just have bitten it the "wrong way" and it surprised him.

I suggest you try again, I'm sure he'll be fine. Our puffers love cockles.

My DPs always shoot bloodworm back out after they've eaten them; in fact, I think one may be 'bulemic', in a way. I think it often just helps them to chew it up better, though.

Oh, thanks. And after watching my puffers...do fish have tongues, strange question, but do they. I'm pretty sure snails do, but I'm not so sure about fish.

Indeed they do, but they are formed differently to ours.

There's an interesting article here.

Wow, that is really intereting. I just thought I saw a tongue shoot out though, so I may not have seen a tongue shoot out and go back in!
