They seem to fade in and out throughout the day. Is this BGA? Will post some pics later tonight if you need them.

Diatoms methinks. Possibly cyano or dinos.

all is good though right? i have tried and tried to search for some simular algae on google but cant find any pics that match.

Not diatoms, but probably a green cyanobacterium. Watch it. If it starts growing fast, monitor your nitrates and phosphates.
