ok my petsmart has been getting LOADS of shipments of bettas! all kinds too! (i can only recognize VT and CT) anyways i am getting some $$$$ (yay)(always a good thing) and i am gunna buy one of the one gallon tank sold by hawkeye aquariums! and they have built in undergroud filters (which saves some time on cleaning) but i have to cycle the tank 1st...how long should i cycle a one or two gallon?

I only cycle tanks if they are of reasonable size. Since you will be doing full water changes because it is such a small tank, I would not bother.

That is just my opinion.

there is no set time to cycle a tank.

it is cycled when ammonia and nitrites drop back to 0 after they spike...
as said above, i would just do 100% water changes on a tank that small, that's what I do anyway

i have one of those tanks and run the UGF (blue likes the bubbles) but i still change the water every week

i got a fue of those too..... i chnage 1/2 water every other day..... if you want room to cycle the tank try geting one of the 10G goldfish kits while your there.. there around $25 here so i asume they wont be much more where ever you are.....
