I went to a partsmart to get some cat food the othe day and thought id have a look at the fish. I saw their display tank had quite a large firemouth in a comunity tank with neons, glass catfish, mollies, and bala sharks. Is this Wise i would have thought that the firemouth would eat the neons etc??

I hope that's just a holding tank. Firemouth's attitude can vary from fish to fish, some are quiet & peaceful whilst others can be pugnacious & terratorial. Just seems like they have a real mixture going on in there......

thing is it isnt a holding tank. Its their main display tank because i asked.

Hum....the neons may be a BIT too big to eat....but the firemouth may find them tasty soon! My firemouths are only 2-3" and they eat up guppies already!

Jesse, you've fed your firemouths feeder guppies? I'm interested in doing this. how much do they cost?

Usually 10 cents per fish.

I would quarantine them for a week or so before adding them to your tank to prevent the introduction of any diseases to your show fish.

Yup smb is right, cost about $1.25 per dozen here.
