what r they like? how big? and do they get really agg.

I have one, he's almost 4 inches. supposedly, they grow 6 inches tops. He's in a tank with 2 rosy barbs, and 4 tiger barbs. he definitely has established his authority in the tank, but he's not aggressive towards the other fish. they don't mess with him either. i think it takes a little bit for them to get adjusted to other tank mates, but once authority has been established, they keep to themselves for the most part.

i suppose if there were other semi aggressive territorial fish in the tank, it might be a different story. thinking of adding a firemouth to your tank?
