Fish Crazy
Ok, so I have two firebellies in a 10 gallon 1/2 water 1/2 ground setup, with a full lighted hood. There's no gaps anywhere. The only way to put something in our to take something out is to either take the hood off or lift up the little panel on the hood.
Well, this morning when I woke up, one of my firebellies, Cado, was sitting on my chest looking at me.
What I'm wondering is.... how? He had to do it sometime when I was asleep.... I know he can't take the hood off, and I didn't think that he could lift the hatch.... guess I was wrong?
Otherwise, I'm just glad I found him before my cats did.

You're very lucky to have found him so easily
I would suggest looking over the tank for any holes or gaps
Could you have keft the cage open a bit?
