I have no idea which section this post goes to but here goes.
Does the other shrimp eat the other shrimp's babies? I'm worried they are like guppies who eat their own children

I've never seen any eat their shrimplets, and I've never heard of it either so they'll be fine.

BTW, there is a section for inverts in the other pets section which is above the general section.

cheers,
Ben :good:

Ah, sorry about that.
How do I move this thread?

only mods can move threads.

But you won't have any probs with the shrimp eating their babies.

cheers,
Ben :good:

Thanks loraxchick!

and thanks ben M but I got another question, does boraras brigittae harm the shrimplets?

Any fish will eat shrimplets if they fit in its mouth, but TBH, it is unlikely that they would eat any, and highly unlikely that they would eat enough for you to notice. I got 3 shrimp about 4 months ago and put them in a tank with Trigonostigma hengeli (copper harlequins) and now have over 100. Boraras brigittae are a lot smaller than the harlequins, so I very much doubt that they'd eat many if any.

As long as you have a lot of plants and especially moss I've found that the fish stay at the top of the tank and the shrimplets stay at the bottom until they are big enough not to get eaten.

cheers,
Ben :good:

You just took off this giant ball off my chest :hyper:
Thanks ben!
