Fire Belly Newts & Fish

My girlfriend has a tropical aquarium, she was thinking of getting a Turtle dock and adding a firebellied newt. Now we think it probably wouldn't be a good idea, as they excrete toxins from thier skin, so i guess we are just after some confirmation.

Any advice would be welcome!

Personally I wouldn't mix them as tropical fish and newts like different temperatures. Firebellied newts are cold water, tropical fish are warm. For that simple reason I'd say don't mix them.

Also if you did put it in with fish then the newt may eat the fish.
