Fire Bellied Turtles Etc -

Ive seen some really nice minature turtles, not to sure on all the names...

but im really think of gettin a smallish tank and getting some

but i have no idea how to look after them?

do they need a filter system? heated water?

what do they eat?

advice would be great thanks..

turtles are great pets. i own one and love love love her....just be warned- they take a lot of maintainence and equipment to keep them healthy and happy. much more effort to properly care for than you may be lead to believe from a pet shop. Also consider they can live for 30+ years, so make sure that is a commitment you are willing to accept!

i take it you mean red bellied turtles? which aren't miniature, with a fully grown female having the same diamater shell as your average dinner plate.

Needless to say they need big tanks and even bigger filters
