finrot - but he doesnt look sick?

such fish dramas this week *sigh*

my friend phoned me to say she thinks her betta has finrot, and could i come and help her out?

so I did, and his tail looks about 1/2 the size it was last time I saw him and has tatty looking edges, but he doesn't look sick at all? he's swimming about like he always is and building an enormous bubblenest? and the rest of his fins seem ok...

does this sound like finrot to you guys? I don't really have any experience with finrot or bettas so I'm not sure what I'm dealing with

Sounds like either fin rot or a blown tail to me. It's good that he's acting normal...shouldn't be too hard to help him if his health hasn't started to be severly affected by it yet.

i thought a blown tail was where it sorta split in two?

I left her some finrot meds so i can call her and tell her what to do with them..haha i don't beleive I trekked for two hours in the rain to deliver fish meds.
