My finger leather appears to be melting!!!! 
When I bought it I could see where it had been split. Since then the place it was split has been gradually melting away with little bits falling off....
It has receded about 2" in the last 3 or 4 months...
Is there anything I can do or am I doomed to watch it melt away??
