1 quick question.

I keep reading that everyone finds fry in their water change bucket but I never do.
I assume that everyone else has buckets and buckets of yucky water standing all over their house  ,

HOW LONG DO YOU KEEP THIS EX-TANK WATER FOR?

Er, guys I meant finding fry in the ex-tank water which originate from eggs that have been removed by cleaning gravel or sucked up into the filter.

I've tried keeping my tank change water, which I washed the filter out in, for a couple of days but so far I've never found any fry in it.

I have fry in my bucket that have been living in there for over a week now. They were sucked up from my siphon. I can't believe they are still alive. They are so tiny. I went on vacation and came back amazed to see them swimming around in this dirty bucket. I have been crumbling up flakes and putting them in for them. I guess if i really want them to survive i should go out and get some type of fry tank.

Hi red
I think this is refering to gravel syphon water that is kept in the bucket with a heater for a couple of days just to see if any fry are hatching.
HTH :D
