I finally found a pet store that had kribensis. I have been looking for them in pet stores for months but the only one that had them was a terrible mall pet store with tanks that had turned brown. But my gf and I went to return a little heater and when I was looking at the fish they had a tank with little Kribensis in it. He looks a lot happier in my tank. He found a hole in the top of one of my roman pillars and seems to be using it for a cave. He will peek his head out and look around its really funny. I have to get a cave for him to use once he is too big for the pillar hole. Should I get rid of the pillar so that he won't get stuck when he gets too big?

For now I only have one male krib. I decided against getting a pair because I don't have anywhere else to put my other fish if they decided to start breeding. AND I can't find any pet stores that will buy fish from me. Is it ok to just have one krib? I really don't want to have them breeding but if I have to I can make the "sacrifice" and buy another tank for their tank mates. Always looking for an excuse for a new tank. :p

I think they will breed in a community tank. The parent's will just ave a harder job of looking after them.

I have 2 in my community tank, although I am not looking for babies.

My male Krib (Dr. Zoidberg) is about the size of a swordtail right now. I read they get to be about 4 inches long. I guess I wouldn't have to worry about babies for awhile but I don't think my girlfriend will allow any more tanks right now. I only have three (not including the one for my betta).

:fish: Your male krib will be fine on his own and not quite as territorial if there isn't a female. The downside is he might not be as colourful because he hasn't got anyone to showoff to :D
