Ok so I am not a noob fish keeper, or even a noob plant keeper, but now I want a heavily planted green aqua garden  . I got given an 18 gallon complete set up with one 18 inch 8k t8 bulb, new. I bought black sand, a medium piece of mopani wood, and one 12"umbrella plant-spathiphyllum wallisii, one 8"amazon sword, and one crested java fern, microsorium pteropus, and one anubias.

I have Seachem Flourish. I really do not want to have to use co2, but will if I have to. I want to put blood fin tetras and my one male angel in this tank with maybe 3-6 corys. This tank is really tall before anyone starts smashing. 24 inches tall.

Ok, will I need more light? Does the crested java fern really help control nitrates and phosphates like it says it does? I am cloning my colony right now, should I scoop some good ole mulm into this tank to fertilize? :good:

Thanks for all the help over here. I have no questions left now why no one comes to this section  . It is actually a 20 gallon. And I did my research and found out that one of my plants was not actually a aquarium plant. Once my new t5ho light for my reef gets her I intend to move another t8 8k light over to this tank and see how it goes. So far, everything is doing pretty good. I am getting good strong roots and new leaves :hyper: .
