Finally A Successful Spawn?

Ok this is my third spawning attempt. On the first attempt the male ended up destroying the nest and eating ALL of the eggs. During the second attempt all of the babies mysteriously died about 3 days after hatching. So my fingers are crossed for this spawn. :love8:

Ok heres Ace - The Daddy :love7:

And this is Kialani - The Mommy

4/29/06 - Ace is put in the tank and kialani is placed in a cup inside of the tank. They flare at eachother and Ace begins building his bubblenest.

4/30/06 - We have a gorgeous bubblenest!!
Kialani is released into the tank and the battle begins

5/1/06 - around 2 pm they began wrapping, it is now 430 pm and they are still going at it, there are lots of eggs! *fingers crossed*

5/2/06 - Ace is garding the nest like a good daddy, should begin to have some wigglers later tonight.

5/3/06 - WE HAVE WIGGLERS!!! Ace is being a good daddy and putting them back in the nest when they fall. I haven't seen him snack on any of the babies yet! And there are a lot of babies! Yippie!!

Heres a shot of the top of the nest. Can you see the little dark spots? Fry eyes!!
