Fin Rot

I went home for the long weekend (yeah spring break) and my roomies took care of my betta for me. when i hot back a few hours ago i was told that my betta was sick and that they were not sure what to do. It turns out that he has fin rot...i can tell because all of his fins are gone! He can still swim around (a little to one side i might add) and seems to have a bunch of energy at times (when he's' not just floating there).

Is there anything i can do? I've already cleaned the tank (2gallon) and given him fresh water. I wont be able to get to the pet store till tomorrow (its 10:30 pm here now). I really don't want him to die but he looks to pityfull, especially when compared to how he used to look only a week ago.

Any help at all would be great.

there are quite a lot of meds for fin rot, you should be able to find one at the lfs. You can try melafix/bettafix if you cant find anything more specific

I've had luck with Mardel's Maracyn 2...

Hope your boy gets better! I'm sure he will GL!
