Hi im almost almost in the last stages of buying a house (only 25%part buy but thats good enough for me after 5 years of renting) and so im really starting to plan my next fish tank (which will be the main big one for the lounge).
il be getting a 5 maybe 6' tank and have almost decided what i want. i have been toying with the idea of central americans or some small odballs but thruthfully my passion is for cyprinids so i am 99% sure that i wont to go down that route.
what ever i do i will throw everything into it i.e filement barb biotope or as close to a biotope as poss because rather annoyingly i hate mixing fish from different continents ( always end up shooting myself in the foot in terms of tankmates i want)
has any body ever kept filiment barbs if so do you have any pics of your fish. depending on tank size i may end up with a group of arulius barbs instead.
this vid on youtube that isnt of my fish really have inspired me to go for filiments. my only worry is that they need so much room. what do you guys think?
also if any body has any ideas about tankmates that are biotope correct or close to i would be very happy to hear them
