Filtration For 8L Cube 8X8X8

ok so I now have an 8x8x8 cube tank that im planning on having some lil shrimpys in
I need to filter this tank and filter it well as shrimp are sensitive to water conditions I hear, i'm looking to DIY and make a filter that will increase the water volume of the tank and obviously filter well, so really im looking for design ideas, would love a bit of a waterfall effect at the back of the tank too if I can thanks in advance for any replys

Why not get a HOB filter made for a 1 to 3 gallon tank? You are close to 2 gallons with that thing. I know that the Whisper line includes them.

There's a few mini HOBs, although I don't know which brand is best (I think they'reall basically the same thing with a different name on it). Aqua Vital do one, there are a few Azoo ones if you can get hold of them.

You *could* DIY one, but on such a small tank you won't be able to make anything that isn't obtrusive.
