What filters do people recommend?

I am going to be re-scaping my tank come next pay day and I constantly have problems getting my filter to come back on once I've turned it off. This is the second of this make to do so.

I had that with my fluval 2+... one day we had a power cut and since then it needed a quick shake to get the propeller going *shrug*

If you're after an internal then I'd still recommend the fluval range.

External-wise, I have an eheim. But fluval have an external range which I think plenty of people liked.
